James Bovard posts some of his past columns on the 1992 assault at Ruby Ridge by the FBI, killing the wife and son of Randy Weaver, who died this week at the age of 74.
James Bovard has an informative and succinct essay on the FBI entrapment of hapless patsies in that alleged scheme to kidnap Michigan Gov. Wretchen Witless.
The Governor Whitmer kidnapping case, which we now know was comprised of virtually all FBI agents and informants took another devastating hit in August. Michael Hills, an attorney for Brandon Caserta, one of the six defendants, produced text messages showing an FBI field agent telling an informant to lie, frame an innocent man and delete text messages.
This is why federal prosecutors are refusing to hand over text messages and laptops from FBI informants in the Whitmer kidnapping case. The FBI actually hatched the plot. paid for the plot, ran the plot, and set up the innocent men in their immoral scheme.
The FBI’s top informant behind the kidnapping scam was later arrested after he beat his wife following a swingers party…
So, it’s a clear case of entrapment. That’s when gubmint officials intentionally set up hapless patsies to engage in or plot to engage in illicit or criminal activities. Which the hapless patsies never actually did. Gov. Wretchen Witless was never kidnapped.
In my view, the ones who concocted, planned and plotted this case, the FBI, and who intentionally entrapped hapless patsies, the FBI, are the ones who should be put on trial. What they did was criminal, in my view. Their sentences should be the same exact sentences that the acquitted alleged plotters would have been sentenced to had they been found guilty. I think one of the sentences was to have been life in prison?
And here are some tweets by Glenn Greenwald on this fiasco:
Now, a lot of people hear about FBI corruption and incompetence, but they still give the FBI the benefit of the doubt. They don’t want to “second guess” the government’s “security” related central planning apparatus, the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. But after the police state regime of J. Edgar Hoover, 9/11, the Marathon bombing and the Tsarnaevs, the Florida school shooter, “Trump-Russia collusions,” January 6th and all the rest, do you think there may come a point at which you might say, hmm, maybe it might be best to get rid of the FBI?
So anyway, I was reminded of a post I did 4 years ago on the “honest, well-meaning FBI,” with several links to articles showing that we may be better off without them.
Here is that post, The Honest, Well-Meaning FBI (Some links are from the Wayback Machine):
February 8, 2018
Byron York in the Examiner examines how the FBI relied heavily on the Christopher Steele-concocted “Trump dossier” to present to the FISA court to get their illegal surveillance warrant to spy on Carter Page. York gets into all the specifics on how the FBI used the dossier even though they knew that Steele had lied to them and was not credible, and therefore the dossier itself was not credible.
But York shows how faithful he is in the “integrity” and well-meaningness of FBI officials, when he seems to go along with the Grassley-Graham Senate memo on this issue, asserting that regardless of knowing that Steele lied to them the FBI “kept faith” and believed Steele anyway. Actually, I think it’s Byron York whose faith in the FBI (and in other national security apparatchiks) causes him to not doubt their sincerity and forthrightness. Now, I’m not accusing anyone of anything, but would it be a huge surprise if we heard that FBI agents took the unreliable dossier to the FISA court knowing that it was unreliable, that they knowingly presented a false and extremely questionable item of “evidence” to the court to falsely get a FISA warrant? Is that too hard to believe? Now, I’m not accusing anyone of anything, but…
All you have to do is read these recent articles by James Bovard on the history of FBI shenanigans.

And more articles on FBI lawlessness, incompetence and corruption:
And the FBI people actually swear or affirm an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution. So, they either haven’t actually read or studied it, or they do know what they’ve actually sworn or affirmed to support and defend, but don’t care.
I think that Byron York of the Examiner is like many faithful, indoctrinated Americans who really believe in these government institutions. But, it would be helpful if York and all the other faithful members of the government’s obedient flock would read Robert Higgs, who pointed out, If men were angels…
Jacob Hornberger has some points to ponder on the U.S. Constitution. He notes that the Constitution authorizes the federal government to have specific enumerated, limited government powers, not omnipotent powers, and not a national security state. And he then discusses the Bill of Rights and how after World War II especially it all went downhill from there because of the rulers’ turning the nation into a national security state.
In my view, there shouldn’t be a federal government to begin with, and the people of this society need to decentralize and dismantle the federal government. But, if there must be a government (any government, federal, state or local), then we should keep the Bill of Rights as the law which all government agents must follow. The Bill of Rights is a small listing of some of the rights that all people have inherently, and it provides rules requiring government agents to not infringe on those rights of the people. So, that’s my view on that.
Here is an excerpt from Hornberger’s article
If Americans are to regain a free, prosperous, harmonious, moral, normal, and peaceful society, their focus must not be on Russia, China, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, terrorism, communism, Islam, or any other supposed threat. Their focus must necessarily be on the entity that has destroyed their rights, liberties, and well-being, and that is currently pushing them closer to nuclear devastation, not to mention national bankruptcy — the national-security state that was unconstitutionally and illegally brought into existence to fight its Cold War racket.

The corporate “news” media have been getting worse and worse these days as far as their suppressing the truth about things and their promoting fear incitement and propaganda, for political reasons and for ratings and profits. Russiagate, Covid, and the 2020 elections are good examples.
Another example: January 6th. The Soviet-like January 6th committee has their kangaroo hearings now and they continue to lie about January 6th riots and trespasses, while at the same time calling Donald Trump’s assertions of election fraud “The Big Lie.”
Now, why is there even a January 6th committee with hearings, when these people had already impeached Trump for “Incitement of Insurrection”? An incitement allegation for which there was no evidence and that is why the Senate acquitted him.
The committee’s own lie, or one of them anyway, is that the events on January 6th of 2021 was an “Insurrection.” Most of the corporate “news” media’s dummies are merely repeating this like robots.
Well excuse me, but an insurrection is a violent overthrow and takeover of the current ruling government. Was the U.S. government taken over and the rulers in Washington replaced by the insurrectionists? Unless you want to call Joe Biden an insurrectionist. Nope.
So the truth is that January 6th was not an “insurrection.” Sadly, Democrats and leftist activists continue to lie about what it was and continue to go after not just Donald Trump but the “deplorables” who support him.
No, the truth is January 6th was not an insurrection but it was a riot and trespass, as well as a set-up by the Swamp’s lowly creatures lurking Inside the Beltway.
One group involved in January 6th consisted of actual Trump supporters who were at Trump’s rally and who then walked “peacefully and patriotically” over to the Capitol, in which many of them just wandered around not knowing what to do.
And that was the larger group for whom Capitol police seemed to just cordially open the doors and let them in.
Another group were the antifa rioters who were there to “counter-protest” the Trump supporters’ protests. The Antifa riots were already under way while Trump was still speaking at his rally and well before Trump’s rally attendees walked down to the Capitol to wander around in a daze. See the timeline.
And, I believe, another group were the FBI-involved fake “Trump supporters” who were trying to provoke the ones who wandered over to the Capitol to get involved in rioting. If you see some of the videos you’ll see some of the Trump supporters easily detecting who the fakes were, calling them “feds” or agents provocateurs, etc. See Tucker Carlson and Glenn Greenwald on the alleged FBI involvement.
Additionally, see these articles on Revolver: Federal Protection of “Oath Keepers” Kingpin Stewart Rhodes Breaks The Entire Capitol “Insurrection” Lie Wide Open, Decision By January 6th Commission to Ignore Oath Keeper Stewart Rhodes Just Unmasked Their Entire Investigation, and Meet Ray Epps: The Fed-Protected Provocateur Who Appears to Have Led the Very First 1/6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol
And I had found this video documentary interesting, which alleges that the riots were planned, staged and rehearsed. The video on Bitchute is titled “Everything Wrong With the Capitol Shooting In 21 Minutes Or Less.”
But Nancy Lugosi and Adam Schiffty and lying Liz Cheney will not go after their beloved FBI gestapo for their very possible involvement, while the non-violent Trump supporters who happened to be at the Capitol that day continue to be held and abused in solitary confinement, without charge. Even Elizabeth Warren and Dick Durbin have come to their defense. That’s quite a big step for the fake Indian.
Roger Stone was called before the Soviet-inspired apparatchiks of the January 6th committee and Stone cited his 5th Amendment right to not answer any of their questions. Good for him! Here is a video of Stone at his press conference after his appearance. (Unfortunately, after Stone addresses the media, George Snuffleupagus then comes on to ruin the moment. Oh, well.)
I think that the others who were called or subpoenaed to appear should do the same, given what a sham and a whitewash of a kangaroo hearing it is. “Contempt of CONgress”? You bet, and everyone has a FIRST Amendment right to have contempt of CONgress, most members of which are deserving of nothing but contempt.
The First Amendment protects everyone’s right to think and believe however one wants. And people have a right to not cooperate with government criminals (sorry for the redundancy there).
On Sunday I heard on Broomberg Radio a rebroadcast of Meet the Prick with Upchuck Todd, a.k.a. Chuck Toady, who continued to make his references to “The Big Lie,” that refers to Trump’s assertions of election fraud, as though Trump is intentionally lying about 2020 election fraud. Other Sunday hosts as well as “news” anchors and “reporters” are doing the same thing, calling allegations of 2020 election stealing “The Big Lie.”
Regarding the whole 2020 election stealing issue, a lot of people just don’t know the truth about what happened because the corporate media suppress stories that contradict the narrative they want to promote. For instance, hundreds of witnesses had signed sworn affidavits testifying to election day illegalities they witnessed, including over 100 witnesses in Michigan alone.
During vote counting on election night it seemed obvious that Trump was winning by a lot, and then the vote counting just stopped, mainly in the swing states. Further, many Republican poll observers were made to leave the premises. And then suitcases and coolers with alleged fake Biden ballots were brought in. I’m sure Trump was lying about all that.
Did you see the article in Time as though admitting all the election shenanigans? The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election (Although it should read: “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Stole the 2020 Election”! Some analyses of that article here and here.)
